The awesome Damask in black and white was the inspiration. It makes the room "grow up" but the rich deep red and blue pillows add a pop of colorful fun to the re-do. The headboard was design by "yours truly" and built by MaryAnn and her good friend Brian (they are good!) MaryAnn and I had fun at Jo-Ann Fabrics looking for the right textiles to bring in color and texture to the room. I'll post a picture of a close up of the pillows so you can appreciate the color and texture a little better.

I LOVE Damask on just about everything. It's SO pretty. The pillows are the perfect POP like you said. It all looks great! GO GIRL!
Where did you get the bed spread? I've been looking for one exactly like that except for navy instead of black.
Sara Crosby
Sara, it's actually a duvet cover and it comes with 2 pillow shams. I got it at Ross for practically nothing ($15.95 to be exact!) it pays to shop around! I don't have the package it came in, but if you'd like me to find out for you let me know!
so pretty! we need to swap talents~ photography for interior design!
