Sunny Summer Porch - Lemonade included!

Saturday is the day in the Arshad household to get things DONE and  this last Saturday, done we got.

See??? got the whole porch done!!!

Yeahhh! Sunny days are here to stay and my porch is ready to enjoy them!!
While cleaning and rearranging the porch, I found this cute surprise from nature....

A bird's nest in my flower arrangement!!! I showed my neighbor and she found out they are from a common bird in our neighborhood -house finch. (thanks for finding out what they were Jeri!) I hope momma bird doesn't mind that I found her nest and comes back to hatch her babies....

Back to the porch...

Remember how one of the wooden slats was missing?
(Aunt Bertha sat on my pretty chair and broke it)
Well, I had to replace it with one I made. It wasn't easy and it is not perfect but it will do.
(Thanks a lot, Aunt Bertha)

(I knew having leftover slats from my recent master bath redo, will come in handy) I measured, cut and glue two pieces together to get it as close to the original as possible.

Then I painted it and let dry, just like the others....

Can you tell which one is the one I made??
well, of course you can, but pretend you don't know.....

So, here's a picture of my sad-looking porch before.

Oh, did I mention I also made these adorable cushions??? Loooove them!!

Chairs and cushions.... pretty, hu?

Cushions just make my bench happy and complete.

I'm in the hunt for a FENOMENAL (at least that is how you spell it in Espanol!) outdoor  rug
that I hope to find pronto!

Do you have any leads for me??

Thanks for following!!

-Karina

PS. I don't have an Aunt Bertha.... I don't even know anyone with that name.
How the chair broke, will remain a mystery!! haha.
oh! and where is the lemonade??? Come over, I'll make you some!!
: )

I love the colors! It's so happy and bright. I can't get over that bird nest. It's so tiny and perfect...it looks fake! SO, I love the porch and hate that you even have one, PUNK! :)

it looks AMAZING! (I still feel really bad about the egg casualty... :( Any sign of momma bird yet?)
